Kate is the author of the blog Modern Alternative Mama (which by the way you should definitely check out), and has given me the opportunity to review this book, and I'm so glad that she did. Her book is not just a cookbook, it's a resource for anyone wanting to know more about real food and how to begin. She even has a section called "baby steps" that gives you small steps to take to begin your journey to eating real food. Many might not even know where to start and I feel that this book would be a big help.
Kate even goes over the different sweeteners and their pros and cons which I found very helpful. I'm always confused as to which ones are good for you and which ones are not.
I can't forget the yummy recipes. She has recipes for homemade french fries, biscuits, cheesy potatoes (which my family loved) and many more. After reading this book, I found that there were just a couple of things that maybe I'm not ready to dive into just yet, but overall I found it very helpful and informative.
If you or someone you know has made a goal to dig deeper and find out more about real foods, I think this book would be a helpful tool.
So...today is your lucky day because I am giving away one copy of the ebook In the Kitchen: Real Food Basics. Exciting huh?
