This morning I woke up to my hubby and kiddos creating a surprise for me. I was walked into the kitchen with eyes closed and there greeting me were 2 singing kids, a bouquet of flowers and and a muffin with candles on top. Oh, and coffee too. I felt so special. Oh, maybe I should mention that it is my birthday. Just so you didn't think this sort of thing happens everyday. It could, I wouldn't mind. :) Kent had also prepared a breakfast "dessert" which was vanilla yogurt and strawberries in cute little party glasses. It was the perfect start to the day. On Sunday, my mom will be here to celebrate with me so, I guess you can say I'll be having my birthday all weekend. Tonight I will be going to the Women Of Faith conference in the city, I'm very excited about it. At first I didn't really want to go but, my husband convinced me. I'll also be staying overnight- which is a real treat. Anyway, being that it's my birthday I decided to do a meme. And also being that it is supposed to be Good Food Friday I decided to get this one from Fridays Feast which is a blog that features memes in "course" form. I thought it would be fun. So, here goes...


Appetizer
When someone smiles at you, do you smile back? Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be too many "smilers" around anymore but, if I get one, you bet I'll smile back. big, toothy, cheesy grin. :)
Soup
Describe the flooring in your home. Do you have carpet, hardwood, vinyl, a mix?
carpet upstairs, linoleum or whatever you call it in the kitchen, wood laminate (pergo) in the basement family room area and ceramic tile in the laundry area. And the bathrooms have linoleum as well.
Salad
Write a sentence with only 5 words, but all of the words have to start with the first letter of your first name. Gail gives gorgeous gifts generously. (that was a tough one).
Main Course
Do you know anyone whose life has been touched by adoption? Yes, we know 2 couples personally who have adopted and their stories are amazing.
Dessert
Name 2 blue things. i was going to say blueberries but, they aren't really blue, they are more purple-ish so...I'll say cookie monster and bluebirds.
