Our friend and neigbor Jen, has been kind enough to help us plant a little garden on the side of our house. This is my first try at gardening, and so far I love it. It can be quite therapeutic, in my opinion. I can easily see how people make it a hobby. Maybe it will become one of mine.
We have already planted garlic, which by the way, is looking quite lovely. I talked to Jen yesterday and we decided on a time to get the rest of our seeds planted. Lo and behold...as soon as we walked outside, it began to rain but, we decided to go for it anyway. A few minutes after we started working the rain stopped. Here are a couple of pictures from our fun. Here is K in front of our garlic that is growing quite nicely. I can't wait to eat it.
I know this may only look like dirt to you but, to a certain little boy, this little square is his very own garden, which will soon boast onions, lettuce, radishes, and peas. He planted them by himself. (with a tiny bit of help, of course).

Stay tuned for more pics of our garden as it grows. I can't wait to make a dinner out of its offerings and share some as well. fun, fun, fun.

My mom is quite the gardener! She LOVES it. I spent a whole lot of time in the various gardens, over the course of my growing up years. We always ate well, thanks to her!
Have fun!
