Kid Fun!

My kids love play dough. Whose kids don't, really? I have tried multiple homemade play dough recipes and have recently stumbled on a neat one. It's ingredients are oatmeal, flour and water. That simple. It's appropriately called "oatmeal play dough". :) I thought I would share the wealth with you...

Oatmeal play dough
2 Cups Oatmeal
1 Cup flour
1 Cup water
Mix together and knead a few times to form a nice dough.
If the dough seems sticky, add some more flour until it becomes a nice lump of dough that can be handled without it sticking totally to your hands!!
This makes a nice textured dough. This is perishable so, it will only last for a couple of days. I stuck mine in a ziploc with a damp paper towel so it wouldn't dry out, and it lasted OK for about 2 days.
Have Fun!!!

Playdough is big at our house. Both of my kids love it. Eve will play for hours... Judah is still more in the 'minutes' arena.
Always gives me a great excuse to get the vacuum cleaner out. As if I need one - I LOVE to vacuum. Weird, huh! :)

Sounds like this recipe would produce a very interesting textured playdough.
