Today is a typical fall day. Cool, cloudy, rainy, windy. It finally feels like October. Today, per my son's request; we had an indoor picnic with peanut butter and banana sandwiches. A is still trying to get used to the idea of sitting on the floor while she eats. It's rather exciting to the both of them. After an outing to exchange some shoes and pick up a few groceries, we came home and had our picnic. Let me just say, it's not fun getting kids in and out of the car in the pouring rain! (can I get an Amen!) They need to make special umbrellas that you can use while pushing a stroller or a shopping cart...not an easy task. Maybe I should just resort to wearing those rain kerchiefs my grandma wears to keep her hair from getting wet.....maybe not. My two kids have discovered the joy of peanut butter and banana sandwiches this week. They have asked for that specific lunch every day... but today I was out of both peanut butter and bananas! Eve was so disappointed. What a great idea to have an indoor picnic, especially when it sounds like outside was so gross.
