Pint-Sized Fashion.

My littlest is a girly-girl in every sense of the word. She loves to dress up (mainly as a ballerina), to wear jewelry, the occasional lipgloss, must always have some sort of hair accessory on, and asks to wear dresses or her tutu almost every day. I love it. :)

One day before Christmas, I told her to go and get dressed in something comfy and this is what she came up with...

If she can't wear a dress, it's leggings. She also prefers jeggings over regular jeans. She only has one pair of those but, believe me they are getting worn. a lot. :) She has a personality all her own, and style to match...I wouldn't have it any other way.

Have you smelled this perfume? I must say that it is amazing. My mom had a bottle of it sitting on her dresser and I opened it to smell...and fell in love. For my birthday, she bought me my own. I'm fairly particular about my scents. I don't like to smell like everyone else. My husband gave me a bottle of Daisy by Marc Jacobs for Christmas and I love that one too. I love getting perfume for gifts because it's not normally something that I will spend my money on.

My Handbag...

I was over at Amanda's Blog today and was inspired to join in on showing my bag and its contents. I realized this could be a scary undertaking because I never know what will greet me when I open up my bag. I decided to go with it. Here's what I had to do...

1. Post a picture of whatever bag you are (using) today - not last weekend when you and your hubby went out to that fabulous restaurant. No cheating!!!
2. Tell us how much it cost. This is a no-judgment zone -- there will be no ridiculing or eye rolling here. (Whatever! Judge all you want! Purses are necessities like food and water!) And, if there is a story to go along with how you obtained it, I'd love to hear it.
3. Now tag some fellow bloggers and link back to this post so people know why you are posting pictures of your bag.

Here is my bag. It is green, my most favorite color. It is big.

I only carry big bags, unless I'm going to something fancy which is next to never.

Any mom of young ones knows a good bag must be able to carry snacks and sippy's.

Today, I haven't planned on going anywhere so there are no snacks or sippy's in sight.

Oh, and I have to tell you how much it cost (as per the rules). It was $8.00 on clearance at Fashion Bug. Here are the complete contents of my bag...minus a few crumbs at the bottom. It was surprisingly clean. As you can see, there are various writing utensils, a smaller green bag with sanitary products, mine and K's sunglasses, various hand sanitizers and a small lotion, a cell phone holder, a make-up bag, a calculator, gloves, and my Zune. All of the essentials. :) I will highlight some of the "major" items for you. Just for fun.

This calculator is for grocery shopping trips to help keep me on budget.

I never leave home without it. Once, I forgot it on the kitchen table and I bought another one at the store to use. It is essential.

The Zune. I already had an MP3 player but, my brother gave me this.It stores a ton of music and videos. I always keep it in my purse to listen to my tunes in the car.

OK. So, there's my purse. Don't you feel so educated and enlightened? I'm supposed to tag others for this but, I'll just leave it open to whoever wants to do it. Follow the rules above and go to it...it's kind of fun!

I love shoes. Yes, I do. I am a girl, what can I say? I have a specific weakness for lovely colored shoes. They are fun, and add pizzaz to an outfit! My one rule about shoes is that I will not pay an outrageous amount of money for them. I will not. I cannot. It's not worth it. Especially on heels, they are just not always practical for me with the little ones and all. There are shoes you need and shoes you don't and the ones you don't need shouldn't cost you your whole bank account (in my opinion.) I thought it would be kind of fun to show you some of my favorite "fun" shoes and of course, I had to be realistic and show you my everyday shoes. These look nice but, they are killer on the feet. You can't see it in this picture but, they are peep toe.
These are a little more practical. I wear these alot.

These are also a little more practical, I wore them all summer long. Now, to be a little more realistic...these are my everyday shoes.

Well, not really everyday but, most days.And these beauties :) are my "play shoes"

They are comfy and functional and I don't trip and fall in them...a definite plus!

Can I let you in on a little secret?.....4 of these pairs were given to me as gifts (that I picked out) but, nonetheless they were gifts. (thanks, mom!) The yellow pair at the top were given to me by a friend! :) I love when that happens!

Can I let you in on another secret?...shoes are the only thing I really enjoy shopping for. Isn't that crazy? Believe it or not, I don't really like to shop that much, and I'm not really into having a bunch of "stuff." I just like shoes. That's all.

Another Affordable Favorite...

Just in case you were wondering, I'm definitely not turning my blog into a fashion/beauty page, just sharing some fun stuff with you to "spice up the ol' blogaroo." Moving on...This little magic stick has been my beauty staple all summer long. It's called the All over Color stick by e.l.f. cosmetics
Basically, you can put it on your eyes, lips, and cheeks for all over color. That simple. It comes in several great colors. I have pink lemonade. When I'm in a hurry...which is alot, I swipe it on my eyes, cheeks, and lips with a little gloss, and mascara, and I'm out. Oh, and they don't test on animals which is cool and guess what??? It's only a buck. Yep, that's right $1. So stinkin' affordable, you could get one in every color. Yay!

You can order them online or get them at select Target stores and Big Lots. I wouldn't recommend it if I didn't love it. I'm almost out of mine, I can't wait to try another color.

Fun Finds Under $10

I don't know about you but, I just don't have a ton of money to spend on trendy stuff that goes out of style in a week. I enjoy fashion and style but, honestly, I don't like shopping for it. Finding cute and stylish things that are also affordable make it more fun for me. I'm kind of like a guy when it comes to shopping. I have a mission, I'm in. I'm out. That's it. But, get me in a store like Forever 21 or H&M, and it's a different story. I'm all over the affordable fashion. Here's a few really cute items from Forever 21. 2 are under $10 and the other is just over $20 if you're in the mood for a little splurge. :)

Item 1...Polished leaf necklace. I loved this because you can put it on when you're not sure what to put with your tee shirt or something casual. Very cute and unique. Only $4.80

Item 2...Jeweled Mod Ring. I absolutely love this!!! It comes in 3 colors (this one is my favorite) Black/gold, cream/gold and aqua/gold. And get this, it's only $5.80...fabulous.

Item 3...Faux Croc purse. With handbags, the bigger, the better for me. This one is great. It looks like it could fit several snacks, sippy cups, diapers, and my wallet, of course. Now, it unfortunately is not under $10 but, is still not a bad deal. $20.80
